Alexis teaches Saturday Mornings 9am
I am a Certified Anusara Teacher currently living in the Pacific Northwest. Anusara Yoga has found a place in the world because of the elegant principles of alignment that speak to each of us and the heart oriented practice that reminds us of the very special place each of us holds in this world. If you would like to discover more of the intricacies and excitement of this practice join me for an exciting journey of exploration of the inner and outer terrain of who we truly are and who we can become once we connect to our resplendent hearts.
After running as many as 7 companies over 25 years I knew all too well the reality of speeding through life and experiencing continual stress. In the 1990’s I took my first yoga class in Mexico and upon my return to Houston I found the Yoga Institute (only yoga studio in Houston during those early years). I have continued to practice and study yoga since those early years. I am a Certified Anusara Teacher and also a Certified Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Institute. I have studied anatomy, spirituality and philosophy with various teachers. I have studied Buddhism and other Eastern Traditions for Well Being at Rice University. Through the years I have participated in yoga workshops and retreats with teachers of varying traditions but my focus continues to be on Anusara Yoga. In addition I have taught Anusara Workshop and Retreats in the US and other countries. The alignment principles and the heart based practice of Anusara Yoga keeps me in touch with body mind and spirit. I found my spiritual teacher Trimurti in the 1990’s and have spent hours in Satsang since our first meeting in Utah. I am a daily meditator and have studied meditation and dream analysis with my teacher at the Jung Institute for more than 20 years.
Currently I offer private instruction and weekly classes in La Conner, WA as well as leading Anusara Teacher Trainings.
You may email me and join my mailing list for updates about Anusara classes.
